Just in time for our Grand Opening on January 8, 2011, Soccer Fitness Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of 5 new Strength and Conditioning Coaches to our Team, who will now be helping us deliver both our On-Field, and Conditioning Room Training Programs in 2011. 1. Adrian Field
Adrian Field, BSc. KINE, OSA Level III, brings a wealth of experience in both theoretical and applied sports science. A graduate in Kinesiology from Waterloo University, as well as a former Varsity soccer player there, Adrian is presently pursuing a graduate degree and playing soccer for Centennial College. Also an avid soccer coach with an OSA Level III Certificate, Adrian coaches a youth rep. team at the Wexford Soccer Club in Scarborough, Ontario.
2. Adrian Pena
A 3rd year Kinesiology student at York University and NCCP Level III Coach, Adrian Pena is also one of the most accomplished and successful Varsity soccer players in the history of York Soccer. Last year’s runner-up for CIS Player of the Year Honors, Adrian was also the leading goal scorer with 4 goals in 3 games, as the York Lions claimed their second CIS National Championship in 3 years. A former Canadian National Team member, Adrian presently coaches a youth rep. team at the Vaughan Soccer Club in Vaughan, Ontario.
3. Soraia Lavareda
Soraia Lavareda, CPT, is presently in her 4th and final year of the BA Fitness and Health Promotions Program at Humber College. As a Certified Personal Trainer and former rep. soccer player, Soraia brings experience in both soccer-specific training, as well as general fitness training. She is presently completing an internship with Soccer Fitness Inc.
4. Giancarlo Rella
Presently completing his first year of studies in Kinseiology and Health Sciences at York University, Giancarlo Rella is also a member of the York Lions 2010 CIS Men’s National Championship soccer team. An avid soccer coach, Giancarlo currently holds his OSA Level III Certificate, and is the assistant coach of a youth team in the Kleinburg-Nobleton Soccer Club in Kleinburg, Ontario.
5. Adam Viola
A first year student in Kinesiology and Health Sciences at York University, Adam is the newest member of the Soccer Fitness Team. A former rep. soccer player, Adam is also pursuing a Certificate in Personal Training (CPT).
